A Perfect Time to Meet the Dentist
A first birthday is an exciting time for parents and children! Your baby may be walking and they most likely have a few teeth popping up. You may be wondering "when should I take my toddler to the dentist"? Well, now is a perfect time to introduce your child to the dentist and start them on the path towards good oral health.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that every child has their first dental visit by their first birthday. Dr. Payam will do everything possible to make your child relaxed and comfortable - a very important part of a first visit!
What to Expect
During your child's first visit, first Dr. Payam will have them get comfortable in the dentist chair. He will then do a quick examination of the teeth to check for any signs of damage or decay.
Permanent teeth form underneath the baby teeth so it's important to take care of these so that the permanent teeth grow healthy and strong. Tooth decay can also be painful for a child and we want no part of that!
Dr. Payam will discuss the proper techniques you can use while brushing your little one's teeth. He will also answer any questions you have on your child's dental health.
